Luke's sketch - Crystal Quest part 2
The best picture of a character from Crystal Quest Part 2 was submitted by Luke McClean from Calne, Wiltshire, UK. David thanks Luke for his many pictures and enthusiasm.
The best school workshop for Crystal Quest Part 2 was at Diamond Harbour School, Christchurch, New Zealand. David expresses his appreciation to the school for their warm reception and for treating him so kindly during his stay.
This was an opportunity for a school to contribute an idea towards book 3 before the final draft wen to print. Contributing schools were set the question, "In the third part of the quest, I want the young hero (James Lightwater) to visit ancient Britain in around the year 500BC. He has to get four ancient objects from different places in the British Isles (England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales). What object would he collect in Ireland? Where could he get it?"
The winning idea came from Class 5, Scoil Realta, Na Maidine, Listowel, Co Kerry, Ireland - see pictures above. The object was a dagger/sheath and the location was New Grange, County Meath, Ireland.
The class suggested many ideas and David would like to thank them for the warm reception they gave hiim on his visit.
