James Lightwater travels back and forward in time with the use of Maximus-Prime (Max) - but could you ever travel back in time in reality?
I wonder what would happen if you travelled back to a time before your own parents were born. You might meet up with your grandparents (who could look the same age as you!) What would happen if you did something really bad and killed your grandmother? If you did that, she could not give birth to your Mother and hence you could not be born. But that means you couldn't travel back in time to kill your grandmother - so you would be born!
That is called the grandmother paradox. It means that, if time travel were possible, there would have to be a way of protecting the time line - a way to ensure that you could not interfere with it.
Time travel is a fascinating subject - it brings in topics like wormholes and black holes and cosmic strings! Here are some links to other time travel web sites.
