Young Readers Annual Festival Birmingham UK

David is a guest author at Young Readers Birmingham - annual festival - May/June 2011. The Book Bash, "two days of events in Aston Hall for an exciting line-up of top children's authors, poets and storytellers."

Previously David has been a guest author at the Listowel writers' week (International writers' event in the Republic of Ireland) in 2006 and 2007.

The Book Bash - Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday, 29-30 May 2011

The Book Bash is a spectacular two day event held at Aston Hall over the May bank holiday each year. Events take place in marquees with the chance to meet poets, storytellers and authors and join in with plenty of other activities such as Mehndi and face painting.

James is on a time-travelling mission to find the zodiac crystals of ancient Atlantis before the evil aliens get them. But the crystals are hidden amongst dinosaurs, erupting volcanoes and Aztecs... Join David Johnson, author of the Crystal Quest series, to find out where authors get their ideas from, how to construct a story map and many more fantastic tips.

Suitable for children aged 7+. Education Room in Aston Hall, 11.30am-12.15pm, 1.30pm-2.15pm, 3.30pm-4.15pm
