Why illustrate the story as well as write it?
This time David wanted to put some of his character sketches into the story because he had many requests to detail and draw the characters from his previous Crystal Quest series. The art in Battle for Atlantis is designed to give readers an outline of how David sees the characters, but should not stop anyone from using their imagination to visualise them as they want. After all that's the point of reading. Opening a book for the first time is a unique experience for each person, allowing them to imagine people and places as they want to. Read and enjoy your way!
Ten thousand years ago Atlantis was a vast sprawling city on an amazing island in the Atlantic Ocean. It was home to an advance race of people whose technology was far beyond that of primitive mankind who lived on the rest of the Earth.
Atlantis was powered and protected by twelve zodiac crystals hidden deep under the city. But now the crystals are causing Atlantis to be destroyed by unwittingly attracting dimension shocks from across the universe. There are only days left before it is too late!
Can Jaxar, the twelve year old genetically engineered Agent Supreme of Atlantis, save it from destruction by hiding the crystals across time, quickly enough?
